Paint Particulars
We use Sherwin Williams paint. You can choose from our Standard colors or choose your own. You can use Sherwin Williams colors. Of, if they're not handy or close by, let us know your color choice from Lowes or Home Depot and we will color match.
We only use FLAT paint. That means "no sheen". And, when you add that to our satiny finished top, the juxtaposition (contrast) is beautiful. This also allows you to repaint your piece a few years down the road if you design or color style has changed. And, you want have to prime it or sand it. WooHoo! That's good news! Please be advised that we do not do "matchy matchy". So many times this turns out as "bad match". We will coordinate and help you choose your colors. Feel free to send us email or pictures (we love getting pictures!) of the room you're placing your custom made piece of furniture in. We can give you ideas if you like ... we love this part! So, again, feel free ... |
Distressed PaintA base color of your choice is distressed with another color. It's a dry brush technique. This is what gives it that rustic, shabby chic look with lots of warmth and character.
Chocolate Brown is my usual distressing color for light and medium base colors. I usually distress Jet Black w/ Toasted Tan. |
Plain PaintIf we don't distress, we call it Plain Paint. Although, there is nothing "plain" about any of our paints. They are all gorgeous, rich deep colors. And, our whites are soft and/or creamy. Luscious! A little more more modern looking that distressed. Clean and Crisp! We love this look, too, of course! Very popular right now ...

Primitive PaintIt's new construction that really looks old, but it's made to last just like the rest of our shabby chic furniture. The entire piece is washed down in stain which will really change and "brown out" your color.

"The piece above is painted in Old Lace. The same color as the Primitive Paint Style on the left. You can see how washing the piece in stain really changes the color and tone. Giving it that Primitive look and feel." |
